Marcie Zajdeman

Marcie Zajdeman joined the energy industry in the late 1990s after practising law in international law firms. As Senior Legal Counsel at Hydro One, she specialized in real estate, Aboriginal law and relations, secondary land use, and large project permitting and siting. She also worked as an instructor for the Law Society of Ontario during this time.

From 2008-2015, Marcie was Vice-President, Legal and Regulatory with Brookfield Infrastructure, providing legal and regulatory advice and strategic and policy direction on matters for the North America Utility Platform. She was part of the senior executive
team of Great Lakes Power Transmission and Brookfield’s representative on the OEA and APPrO boards.

More recently, Marcie developed a course on Energy Law for Osgoode Hall Law School and taught it to a new generation of energy lawyers. She continues to practice law, mainly representing First Nation clients in regulatory and infrastructure development files. She also serves on the Boards of CreateTO, Build Toronto and Toronto Portlands.
