Multi-Unit Conditions of Service

The following requirements apply to all multi-unit properties.
Before any service can be energized or metering apparatus installed, the property owner must complete this Multi-Unit Conditions of Service and submit an “Application for New Electric Service” to create the new accounts.
Where the accounts are to be registered in a name other than the registered owner of the land, a security billing deposit may be required.

The Owner / Developer and/or Electrician shall provide GrandBridge Energy with the following prior to service being energized:


1. All keys required to gain access to the metering room.

2. A building layout drawing, sketch, and/or picture indicating the municipal address and permanent unit numbers, for each floor if applicable, duly signed and dated by the Owner / Developer and/or Electrician as correct. This must be accepted and approved by our Customer Service Team.

3. A meter panel layout drawing, sketch, and/or picture indicating the correct corresponding permanent unit number, for each floor if applicable, and the municipal address, duly signed and dated by the Owner / Developer and/or Electrician as correct. This must be accepted and approved by our Customer Service Team.

4. The unit entrance area, meter base, corresponding service disconnect for meter and distribution panel and street address must have permanent numbers installed prior to the installation of any metering apparatus or billing changes.

5. A letter from the appropriate City/Township/County authorizing multi units at the property.

If the owner does not have active service in their name, they must complete an application for residential service for any new meter installations. You can find the residential form online or the commercial service form online

    2. A Drawing/sketch of the property showing the location of the meter bases and entrances to each unit, properly labelled.

    3. Pictures of the meter bases and entrances, permanently labelled prior to the installation of any new meters.
