We offer our interval-metered customers online access to their energy consumption data. This information can help monitor monthly peak reports and determine opportunities for energy efficiency in an organization’s base load energy.

Managing your organization’s energy costs isn’t easy, but staying informed about your energy consumption can simplify the process. If you want a better understanding of the data presented in the graphs within the portal, we are happy to work with you. The data can help identify electricity savings opportunities that you could use to reduce your bottom line.

Before you start, please take a few minutes to review our Terms of Use for online use to understand the terms. Download the Large Customer Energy Portal User Guide (PDF).

If you don’t already have a login, please email [email protected] to see if you qualify for this service.

The Industrial Conservation Initiative (ICI) is a demand-response program aimed at shifting large electricity users’ consumption to off-peak hours when the Ontario electricity grid is in high demand. Reducing peak-hour demand allows these customers to manage their Global Adjustment (GA) costs.

Does my business qualify for the ICI program?

  • Customers whose monthly peak demand peak average is more significant than 500 kilowatts (kW) and less than five megawatts (MW) over the 12-month base period from May 1 to April 30.
  • Customers with more than 500 kilowatts (kW) and less than 1 megawatt (MW) of monthly average peak demand in the manufacturing sector (North American Industry Classification system codes 31, 32, 33).
  • Customers whose average demand over the base period is more than 5 megawatts (MW) automatically qualify for the program. Please email GrandBridge Energy before June 15 to opt out of this program.

Review the information on this initiative from the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) before applying.

GrandBridge Energy will contact customers who are eligible for this program. If you have any questions, you can email [email protected]. Each cycle of the ICI starts with a base period from May 1 to April 30. At the end of this period, customers are assessed for eligibility.

The Ministry of Energy requires Class-A enrolled customers to provide GPS coordinates of their head office and enrolled load facilities and consent for the information to be shared with the Ministry and made public.

For complete rules and requirements of the ICI program visit O Reg 429/04 (amended).

Large building owners must report their energy, water and greenhouse gas emissions to the Ministry of Energy, Northern Development and Mines annually under the Energy and Water Reporting and Benchmarking (EWRB) regulation.

This regulation applies to privately owned buildings that are 50,000 square feet or larger, including commercial buildings, multi-unit residential buildings (with more than ten units), and some industrial buildings. If you own a building that is 100,000 square feet or larger, you may need to report your building’s annual consumption to the Ministry of Energy by July 1.

To learn more about the regulation, including how to report your data and the deadline to report, please consult Ontario Regulation 20/17 and visit the Ontario Government Energy and Water Use Reporting page.

GrandBridge Energy must make aggregated electricity consumption information available to building owners upon request so they can report their data to the Ministry of Energy annually by July 1.

GrandBridge Energy bills water/wastewater usage for the County of Brant. Water consumption information will also be provided for buildings in the County of Brant.

Note: Cambridge water consumption data must be obtained from the City of Cambridge. North Dumfries water consumption data must be obtained from the Region of Waterloo. Brantford water consumption data must be obtained from the City of Brantford.

If you are a building owner who has to comply with the regulation, you must submit the Energy & Water Data Request Form.

Before you complete and submit the form, please note that you will need:

  1. The GrandBridge Energy account number(s) for all accounts in the building (as many as you can gather).
  2. The building owner’s permission to request the building’s energy and water consumption data.
  3. A separate request form will be required if you request data for more than one property.

If you have any questions before filling out and submitting the Energy & Water Data Request form to GrandBridge Energy, please email [email protected]
