In 2023, GrandBridge Energy established a relationship with Woodland Cultural Centre. We took the initiative to educate our entire Management Team and Board of Directors by visiting the Woodland Cultural Centre (WCC) in Brantford.
The WCC serves to preserve, promote and strengthen Indigenous language, culture, art and history; bringing the story of the Hodinohsho:ni people of the Eastern Woodlands to life through innovative exhibitions and programs.
Our leaders and Board members participated in Truth & Reconciliation training, including a tour of the former Mohawk Institute Residential School. We were pleased to present WCC with a cheque for $5,000 to support their Language Program. The Woodland Cultural Centre Language Department and Resource Centre is dedicated to strengthening, revitalizing and maintaining First Nations Languages, locally, regionally, and nationally.
We continued our commitment to learning in 2024, by providing Truth and Reconciliation to all employees so that we can more clearly understand our role in reconciliation. Once again, the training was provided by our partner WCC and we were pleased to provide them with another $5,000 donation.

GrandBridge Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to reconciliation and cultural preservation in 2025 with a $7,500 donation to WCC. The donation marked the third consecutive year GrandBridge has supported the Centre’s efforts to share and safeguard Indigenous cultures, languages and history. GrandBridge’s donation will help WCC to sustain and expand educational and cultural programs that play a vital role in preserving and revitalizing Indigenous languages, art, and history.
