Choose an Electricity Price Plan (not applicable for water-only customers)

You can now choose to be billed for your electricity usage based on hourly Time-of-Use (TOU), OR Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) OR Tiered prices.

With TOU Price Plan, the price depends on when you use electricity and the season (winter or summer). With Ultra-Low Overnight (ULO) price plan, the price is based on the day of the week and the time-of-day the electricity is used. High-electricity usage activities, such as charging electric vehicles, should be done overnight. You can help manage your electricity costs by shifting your usage to lower price periods when possible. With the Tiered Price Plan, you can use a certain amount of electricity each month at a lower price. Once that limit (called a threshold) is exceeded, a higher price applies.

To help you choose an electricity rate plan, the Ontario Energy Board has created an online calculator. You can switch to another rate plan once you receive your first electricity bill and review your electricity usage.
